From the moment I met AJay and Karishma, I knew that shooting their engagement session would be an adventure. Together, the three of us had mulled over several locations (and over several occasions – most of which were postponed due to Chicago’s bipolar weather). When it finally came time to shoot, we were met with some heavy traffic, a slight chance of rain and a rapid drop in temperature. Despite the man-made and natural ailments, it was a healthy mix of that careful location planning and some good ‘ol fashioned spontaneity that made everything work just right.
The e-session was easily my longest, but it was fun to spend so much time with the couple and explore some different shooting moods in addition to just extra locations. The photos definitely reflected this shift – some fun and airy, some playful and some dramatic and flirtatious. From the way the photos came out, you’d never know that AJay and Karishma were nervous to get in front of the lens for the shoot. Huge thanks to the wonderful couple for a job well done and for having UMG come to help capture some very special moments. Can’t wait to give you guys all the photos!
