It’s always rewarding to see a car evolve through its respective stages, but the IND F82 M4 has taken that joy to a whole new level. Not to be outdone or leave things stagnant after Bimmerfest, the car received a few jaw-dropping additions prior to MPact 2016 in New Jersey.
It was a bit of a struggle to figure out where to shoot the car—a constant struggle between keeping miles down, not getting spotted en route to a location, and still managing to find a place that was photogenic enough to suit. Luckily enough, our short scouting session revealed a spot mere minutes from IND that fit the bill.
First and foremost, the car traded the OEM bootlid for a carbon fiber RKP variant. For that extra flair, the OEM GTS wing was mounted as well, but not just to the standard risers—these are the units from the M235i racing. Super cool.
To balance out the super aggressive, race-inspired rear, the OEM GTS hood was installed and it has to be one of my favorite additions to the car. I think that with its supporting mods, this car wears it better than the factory GTS. French headlights further accentuate the race-inspired look and it looks incredible.
The scenery played really nice with framing the car, which was really fun and a refreshing change of pace from the normal locations. There are a couple more areas at this spot that I’d like to mess around with, so expect to see a few more shoots here in the future.
All in all, it was a happy meld of a great location, weather, scouting, and car. Both IND and I were incredibly happy with how this shoot turned out. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this lucky M4 next!
