We’ve been busy taking Von Sydow’s Moving and Storage through a large re-branding and just got back a batch of their new business cards. I think these show off the logo quite nicely and it’s a big departure from their old presentation. Von Sydow is one of the oldest moving companies in the Midwest—they started moving Chicago’s biggest businesses into the city in 1888 and have been going strong since. We were honored to get the call to head up a refresh of their website, copywriting, print materials, brand identity, and video promotions. Here’s a quick look at how their logo has evolved:
I was inspired to re-visit a classic typeface, especially after exploring their photo archives and seeing their old moving trucks adorned with easy-to-read aesthetics from a distance—something I wanted to bring back in light of designing new truck livery. I picked a type that looked like it had a modern feel with a touch of vintage.
The color scheme went back to its roots also, shifting from a rather generic blue, red, and black combination to hues of orange and grey.
More from the re-brand coming soon, but we are thrilled with how everything is turning out thus far! Have a great weekend, everyone!
